Full Journal pdf2000-04-20 House Journal Page 3360 SB 248 A message dated April 20, 2000, was read stating the Senate has failed to concur in the House amendment to: CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 248(FIN) am "An Act relating to the financing authority, payment in lieu of tax agreements, and tax exemption for assets and projects of the Alaska Industrial Development and Export Authority; relating to renaming and contingently repealing the rural development initiative fund within the Department of Community and Economic Development, and establishing the rural development initiative fund within the Alaska Industrial Development and Export Authority; and providing for an effective date." namely: HOUSE CS FOR CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 248(FIN) (same title) and respectfully requests the House to recede from its amendment. In the event the House fails to recede, the President appointed the following members to a Conference Committee to meet with a like Committee from the House to consider the bills: Senator Halford, Chair Senator Wilken Senator Adams Representative Green moved that the House recede from its amendment to CSSB 248(FIN) am, namely HCS CSSB 248(FIN), and recommended that the members vote no. The question being: "Shall the House recede from its amendment to CSSB 248(FIN) am?" The roll was taken with the following result: 2000-04-20 House Journal Page 3361 SB 248 HCS CSSB 248(FIN) Recede YEAS: 0 NAYS: 32 EXCUSED: 0 ABSENT: 8 Nays: Austerman, Barnes, Berkowitz, Bunde, Cissna, Coghill, Cowdery, Croft, Davis, Dyson, Foster, Green, Grussendorf, Harris, James, Joule, Kapsner, Kemplen, Kerttula, Kohring, Kott, Masek, Morgan, Moses, Murkowski, Ogan, Porter, Rokeberg, Smalley, Therriault, Whitaker, Williams Absent: Brice, Davies, Halcro, Hudson, Kookesh, Mulder, Phillips, Sanders And so, the House failed to recede. Pursuant to Uniform Rule 42(a), the Speaker appointed the following members to a Conference Committee to meet with the like committee from the Senate to consider the above bills: Representative Phillips, Chair Representative Barnes Representative Joule The Chief Clerk was instructed to so notify the Senate.
